Well if Tinkerbell Slapstein says it's Lee, it's probably LaRoche.

Lee's averages the last 3 years: .286 AVG / .367 OBP / .488 SLG, 25 HR, 37 2B, 94 RBI, 73 BB/121 K

I'm fine for giving Lee a one year deal with stipulations (option for another year, incentives, etc).

And I'd still sign Brad Hawpe and I think that's decent

OF - Werth, Morgan, Bernadina, Morse, Hawpe (maybe Maxwell)
IF - Zimmerman, Desmond, Espinosa, Lee, Gonzalez (maybes Harris)
C - Rodriguez, Ramos/Flores

I'm really afraid of ending up with Kotchman.

If I'm Lee, I go to a contender rather than to the Nats.  I'm really hoping we can pull it off.  I'd rather have Morse thn Kotchman.

I think Stairs will take Harris's spot depending on how many pitchers they want to carry.

I can dig Lee. He had a bad season last year. It could be a drop off or it could be from an injury (didn't he have one?) I think a 1 year would suffice but whatever. Just get him or LaRoche.
Lee hit pretty well after he was traded to ATL.

.287 / .384 / .465 in 151 PAs (129 ABs). Homers were low (3), but lots of doubles and an OPS+ of 130.  BA and OBP right around career averages, SLG off .033.  That was a pretty good stretch of 1/3 of a season.  Looks like he started to bounce back.

just as long as we don't say our #1 starter is Bill Lee, though that would be cool if walked into Viera, threw BP, and agreed to treat the team to a pancake breakfast.

Is laroche officially going to the O's, or are they just close to a deal?  because I would much rather have a lefty in the middle of that lineup over a righty (although Lee does hit right handed pitching well).

Dumb question but are pop outs and sacrifice fly's listed as different stats? Otherwise, yeah, I'd rather have a guy pop out, haha.

SF's are listed separately by baseball research, they don't count against your BA but they do count against your OBP.

So the Nats are talking with Casey Close (Lee's agent) who just happens to have signed Zack Greinke as a client.

solid insight blue

ok an offseason of jayson werth, derrek lee and zack greinke would be nice (and if we could add hawpe or someone who can start and play off bench).

good looks blue!

this would be a great offseason with moves like that. crap, maybe Hawpe too and hope he can put up some numbers and play the outfield occasionally.
