James Doohan (Scotty) dies at age 85

Don't know how many of you were fans of the original Star Trek series, but I heard on the radio today that James Doohan, aka "Scotty" died today at the age of 85 :(

Apparently he had alzheimers, but the radio made it sound like he actually died of pneumonia.

Anyway, just thought it was worth a mention.

He did have Alzheimer's, and from the reports I read, that his agent and longtime friend said the cause of death was pneumonia and Alzheimer's disease. None of the ST engineers ever came close to the character he personified. He'll be missed...
