For us, typically the most annoying ad will be whatever plays the most during Caps games. This season, there’s a further wrinkle—because YouTube TV doesn’t carry Monumental, we watch the games via the Monumental+ app, to which we get a subscription as part of our Caps season tickets. But they don’t air the same ads through the app that they do on the channel carried by TV providers. Instead, they largely air the same three or four ads at every commercial break—which, right now, means that at least once during each commercial break (and sometimes twice), we see the ad for some online branding service featuring the two female real estate agents in which one of them rebrands herself to look like some medieval figure sitting on a throne made up of open house signs. That ad has quickly become almost as annoying as political ads during the fall campaign season (or when David Trone is running for something, given how many ads he runs).
