Ban posting privilege bets

I saw SF was on line today. I respect him living up to his word and serving out his agreement to self-suspend his posting privileges for two months due to losing his Marquis / Lannan bet.  That said, I would like to see similar bets banned in the future. It may be fun, but it makes the board worse.  There have been several times I would have wanted SF's views on topics the past month and a half. Had he won, and we lost Linty and Spidernat, I would have felt the same way.  I don't mind the rename stuff (AC, Dunnkey, etc...) or avitar / signature bets because those are humorous, a bit humiliating, but they don't detract from the board.  I just wanted to put this out there and see if there are reactions.

I agree - I much prefer humorous name/avatar (or whatever) bets over ones with seemingly acrimonious motives.  That said I can't force someone to post if they make a private agreement with another member.

When does sportsfan's current sentence end, anyway?
