After this game two things need to happen:
1. Brian Gorman's ass is fired.
2. Instant replay.

I have hated the idea of expanded instant replay but I'm completely on board after watching the playoffs this year. The umps are dreadful and have botched calls in critical moments in both the last two games I've watched.

I tell you no one holds them accountable for their actions!  Any of the umpires could have had a better view and said something.

I mean what's to keep the umpires from throwing a series?   I think this should be put in this umpire file and fined for such poor umpiring.

I feel like I'm watching a dead-ball era game.  AL batters bunting?

I'd only IBB a hitter if Wil Nieves was coming up next.

Another strike a foot and a half off the plate.

I think some of us could survive with this type of zone.

Probably.  Just throw to the right of the plate... they're not going to hit it.

Texas Rangers Productive Team Plate Appearance System is FTW. Hang that up in the Nats locker room. We were horrible at situational hitting this year.
Dude, didn't you see the Nats were 4th on that list, and the rest of the top 5 were at best mediocre offensively?  Those two productive outs in the 5th had a lot to do with that 4 run rally.  I mean, Andrus might not have scored on that double or the home run that followed.  The productive out early in a game is not productive.

Could the Senators actually be heading to the WS?

They need to get this last out in the sixth... the Yankees looks like they're starting to roll over.

for all the money the Yankees spend, 1 WS victory in 11 years isn't exactly a good return (assuming Texas holds on).

Yep...they're the Braves in terms of production.

Well there are 8 playoff teams, and they're all really good (like I said, Texas and the Yankees are within 3% in terms of winning percentage).  So it's basically a crapshoot.  You'd expect to win about 1 in every 8 attempts.  Getting there is the most important thing.
