As negative as the season was, such a shame to see it wrapping up. Six months without Nationals baseball? Gah, it's going to be another long offseason. I'll definitely be savoring these three final games as much as possible, and at least with NYs lineup, we stand a chance. Against Maya they have an absolute nobody going, and Sunday we have Livo. I like our chances this weekend, with this probably the most likely game we will lose depending on how Zimmermann fares. Hopefully he can end the season with a performance worth thinking about for six months, he needs it after his stint in the majors the past month.

Well, except for Giggles the Clown sitting down Bernadina for a second straight game because of a LHP and playing Maxwell instead. I'm sure the fact its a LHP makes up for Maxwells .160 average over Bernadina in Giggles mind, but it sure doesn't in mine.

I'm sorry, I'm a Maxwell homer, and his walks are nice. No Willie Harris!!!!!!!!!!

J-Max does draw a ton of walks against LHP, giving him a respectable .352 OBP.

I'd play Max against LHP at this point for sure.  He should be the 5th OF/defensive replacement for the next few seasons so get him used to it.

It's only a little over 4 months, pitchers and catchers report in February and I'll be in Viera for a coupla games in March.

Go Nats!

I've never heard of Pat Misch, so I guess that means he throws a 3 hit shutout against us.

There will be plenty to hold your interest - AFL (i'm betting they send Harper), Strasburg begins rehab in January and might even be at camp, the Dunn situation, and so on.

I posted in the MLB watching thread, but the Mets told Minaya he's out as GM and Manuel could be fired as early as Monday.

Bernie seems to have played himself out of the lineup.  That's two in a row that he's out.

No way it's Ron Villone.

I can't think of him even getting out of an inning without giving up a run.

It was probably someone like Saul Rivera.  Was it Nats history only?

You don't remember Ron "Vil-0.00-ne"?  He had a 0.00 ERA for a while.

That was a bad pitch.  You could see that one coming as soon as it left his hand.

What will our 2011 rotation look like?

Livo, Lannan, Marquis, J Zimm, FA?
