Does Collin throw anything besides fastball/curveball?

Not, that, that's a bad thing... just wondering.
Nice changeup too!  8 pitch inning is good too!

Joe Blanton is one of the worst pitchers in baseball, and we do nothing with him.

Damn! You're reliving the nightmare.   :'(

I've been multi-tasking between the Nats and PBS.   There was another reason why I lost interest in the Pirates and MLB in general .... '94 .... WS ...  Bud Selig.   I lost interest for quite a few years.

2007 Balester #1 prospect moved to the pen. 2007 #1 pick Detwiler still a work in progress- 2009 Strasburg- Hurt so our starting pitching from within has taken a hit for 3 years. I wouldn't give up Bally as a starter quite yet but if he keeps his pitching out of the pen really good it will be hard to move him back into the rotation.
Sorry Spin, but I gotta disagree with you.  He wasn't great as a starter.  But as a reliever, he's masterful.  I'd hate to try to move him back to being a starter and mess up all the awesomeness that he's achieving out of the pen.  I'm with Linty, I think he could very well be our closer over Storen.

I say that because of all the injuries this year they could try him as a starter. I am sure he likes working out of the pen every few days. Being a closer just might be what the Dr. ordered. But for which team would be the next question? Bally pitching so well has raised his trade value too.

Just looked it up. Throws a changeup 2% of the time.

Yep. Out of the pen mostly CB and FB's. It has certainly worked! 8)

We just have some serious bums we roll out.  Nieves, Mench, Alberto, Harris, Maxwell, etc.  This team has three exciting players.  And two of them are hurt right now.

Bob talks about Ray moving into the booth in "unusual circumstances" but Rob Dibble's name still isn't mentioned.

Hey, guys its been fun. Old Spinman needs some rest. I am having surgery real soon on my back. Hurt teaching a spinning class in which the bike broke and I tore 3 discs and I am having some bone removed in my spine for relief. I could be out for a while so have a great off season and hope to be back on the board real soon. Thanks for all the support and Go Nats, Go Balester and Go WNFF!!! :woop: :panic: :halo:  :old:

2,4,2,1,1,4,2,1,4,2

That's the # of ERs Blanton has allowed in his last 10 starts coming into tonight.  That's hardly the line of "one of the worst pitchers in baseball"

Hope that's not how it ends for Dunn.

Dunn's got zero protection in the lineup right now.  Same exact thing will happen to Zimmy next season if we don't sign Dunn.
