Facebook comment about SS and his surgery: "I hate when they do this to kids so young!"

I guess they should have waited 5 years to repair his torn ligament :hammer:

They should treat it like this but that doesn't change the fact that they're implying or stating it flatly that we're not worthy of their best effort.  I think that's insulting.

Geeezus, he's managing like .... Riggleman !!

Rumors are not true about the Nationals signing the soldier in the fatigues and releasing Mench

Solid but unspectacular, lots of innings, lots of groundballs.

At least there was no one on I guess.

Well let's see... he hasn't been going a ton of innings, he hasn't been getting a lot of groundballs, and he hasn't really been "solid" per se, but I guess unspectacular is about right.

When Zimmermann and Lannan are on the mound I feel like the team at least has a chance to win.  Not a good chance, especially with like 2/3rds of our offense out of the lineup, but a chance.

I feel that way with Lannan and Livo

Livo is currently in the process of turning back into a pumpkin.  I don't really feel that way about him at this point.  You pretty much know what you're getting with him and it's unfortunately better than the Nats' other alternatives, so he belongs in the rotation, but that's as far as I'll go.

Riggleman has the quick hook, he wont get a lot of innings.

Is it possible for a team to only allow season ticket holders to be admitted for particular games/series?    :|

Obviously he can only pitch to the lineup in front of him, but most of his victims were not exactly batting threats.  And I try not to allow a single game to influence how I feel about any pitcher, which unfortunately means I have to remember that two starts ago Marquis couldn't get out of the first inning, that his overall season here has been a disaster and he hasn't been great since his return, and that in his career Marquis has been a very low-strikeout, 4.50-ish ERA kind of guy.

Marquis gives up the Ibanez HR and what little confidence he had looks to be out the window

Not a lot.  Plenty of them would have caught Espinosa's throw earlier though (just as an example).  Dunn is a great asset here but it's silly to pretend he's not still bad defensively... it's just way more than compensated by his power at 1B.

Thank god for AAAA lineups.  Right now the Phillies basically have nothing past 1-4.

Liner over his head, he leaped up and got a piece of it, it landed in front of Espinosa and the throw saved a run.

A line drive a good 7 - 8 feet up, Dunn jumped and knocked the ball down.

Ladson, predictably, blamed Dunn for not catching it.
