Jim Riggleman is an idiot.
While I generally agree with this statement, in this particular case he obviously knows more than we do about the specifics of the situation, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Does Jason Marquis look well to you?  What could he possibly know?  Asking a player if he's hurt means nothing.  He can't know he's ok and, from watching him on the mound, he has to assume that he's not.

If Marquis is a big enough idiot to risk being seriously injured again this season, that's his problem.  He isn't Strasburg, Riggleman isn't required to protect him from himself.

I wouldn't want to be Jason Castro.

I have a feeling Dunn would have no problem trucking a catcher right about now.

Quoting the ERA from a single night is possibly the most ridiculous and potentially misleading thing ever... just list runs and innings pitched.

So, they can mention Don Sutton but not Rob Dibble?  :D

What are the chances Rob Dibble will be the answer to a trivia question???

Okkkkkkkk.
It's just a personal pet peeve of mine.  Talking about runs per nine innings with less than nine innings pitched is pointless, and if a pitcher does go all nine "nightly ERA" = ER.

Pitch F/X does not agree with the umpires strike zone.
