haha i like the jeter talk there.  one thing i give credit to bob is he watches a lot of baseball and keeps current with what's going around the league.  granted it's mostly with the cardinals, he's pretty up to date.

Spider...who should be in the rotation?

I'm not disagreeing with the names you suggested. I just have been through too many years watching the likes of those and I'm sick of it. Lannan is fine as a 4th or 5th starter at best. I'm not a fan of Detwiler. Eventually I want us to move beyond Hernandez. I like ZNN and I can't wait for Strasburg to return but aside from those two, we need to land at least two good arms in order for us to compete. But we all know that's not going to happen with this cheap ownership.

Have the Nationals ever had a runners on first and third where the runner at 3rd scores when the runner a first attempts a steal?  Bob and Ray were spending all that time talking about the Astros and I don't remember the Nationals being in that situation.

No but I recall runners on 3rd scoring on the Nats in the same scenario.
