Does anyone else find it odd that Rob Dibble's name is NEVER mentioned, not even accidentally?  Bob Carpenter and, especially, Ray Knight don't have that much verbal control.

I agree with your not-so-subtle implied conclusion.

Not bad pitchers there Ed.   I remember 'em all.   Loved Tiant's delivery.

Great line from Earl Weaver's book, "I gave Mike Cuellar more chances than my first wife".

Jim Riggleman would have been bunting there.

I remember Cuellar from two things (as a NL fan) ... 1)  the year the O's had 4 20 game winners 2) the Pirates beat 'em in the WS.

What happened?

Dunn at first, Bernadina at the plate.  Had Dunn running on one out, two strikes.  Bernadina strikes out and Dunn out at second by a mile.

Small sample size warning.  That said, he really needs to strike out less (though he was never expected to be a super high AVG guy).

Ok, that's it.  The only thing worse than playing the Phillies at the beginning of the season is playing them at the end.

Can we schedule it so that the entire 18-game season series with the Phillies takes place between May and August?
