Are you watching this game?

Yes ... but I'm switchin' back and forth (multi-tasking).    It wasn't a reflection on your comment.   It's a reflection on our season.

I realize he's coming back from TJ surgery, but I am worried about the relative lack of strikeouts since Zimmermann's return (other than the 9 K game).

He's at 9.6/9 according to the pre-game, which is above his career average.

Really?  I take that back then, must just be an off-game for him.  Even so, after 16 batters faced I'd hope for at least one strikeout.

Yep. This is not looking pretty. One would hope the last chance to give it  to fish would be inspiration. But then again no.  If this is according to "the plan" - we're doing good!

Stanton will probably hit 50+ homers next year.

Their offensive outfielders can't field, and their defensive outfielders can't hit.

I guess I was just spoiled by watching Strasburg strike out at least a batter per inning 11/12 games... but Zimmermann was supposed to be our ace before the '09 draft and I still have high hopes for him.  If he doesn't perform as expected our '11 season is going to be pretty miserable.

That is why when Ray said it was "dumb" to bunt over the runner on 2nd with Volstad up 1 out.......I do like Ray.

Answer: Jeff Kent

Hornsby was on the juice for a few years.

There isn't a relative lack of Ks.  He's at a higher pace, coming into today, than last year.  He had 4 in 4 IP his first start, 9 in 6 IP, and 2 in 4 IP.  He's a 9 K/9 guy and even with the 3 innings today he's at 16 K in 17 IP.
