Or, at least spend moderate cash on Werth. :P

werth is fine.  i'd rather have crawford, but i'd still be :az: if we went out and got werth.

that'd mean bernie vs. nyjer for center.

fingers crossed that Espinosa adds a walk-off to his first few weeks.

It's all about improving where you can.

You're not going to do better than Zimm and Dunn at the corners.

Desmond and Espinosa seem to be fine up the middle.

OF is the big question outside of the rotation.

If it comes to that, I'd have to give the edge to Bernie.

Wow, this team sucks.  As bad as the offense was the last two games, the starting pitching let us down against this Mutts team.  A ton of colleges could run out a better lineup than they did the last two nights.

3 ER in 6.1 IP isn't "letting us down", it's not great, but we had a chance to win this game.  What let us down was 0-2 with the bases loaded, 1 out.

Maybe the pressure of being only three wins away from 63 is getting to the team

yeah ummm livan was fine.  the leadoff walk hurt and his pitching to the opposing pitcher wasn't stellar, but other than that he gave us a chance to win.  the nats offense provided two runs after crapting the bed against a rookie last night.  they didn't do their job.  just a pathetic performance from the bats.

Just a really disappointing series.   Every time it looks like we are going to go on a run, we implode.
