I'm rioting if they pull Maya at 79 pitches with a lead tomorrow.

If it's through 3 and he's given up 3-4 runs?

Riggleman said they'd let him go as long as he can tomorrow.  Shouldn't have a pitch count on him.

That throw from center looked like Rocky Colavito launch.

Ticket sales are going to suck wind next year, with Strasburg being out.  But knowledgable fans realize that Zimmermann, Desmond, and Espinosa represent a really nice core of young, new talent infused into our team that will give us something to look forward to in 2011.

I'm kind of interested in seeing Balester get some extending 'pen innings this fall too.  Everytime he goes down, then comes back up, he's added an MPH to his fastball.  I'm ready for 98 this time.

I'll say it again.

Dunn = ticket sales for the casual fan

Re-signing Dunn could legitimately give the Nats the best IF in MLB in 2011 or 2012.  I can't believe that's already not really a far-fetched concept.

Hopefully, not against a batting helmet.

Nope.  Got quite a few friends who are casual baseball fans and couldn't tell you who Adam Dunn is even after seeing the Nats a few times.  They had heard of Zim but it wasn't until Stras that they cared.

So...you're saying you don't want them to be allowed to wear helmets against Bally?  Cause that's where the ball's going.

Yes, I know. I will be there this weekend so I hope he gets some innings too. He's hit 97 mph a lot with 94-96 most of the time. That curve ball, though, is his out pitch... It just drops off the table.

They'd rather walk Zimmerman to get to the leftie-leftie matchup.  Make 'em pay Adam!

Old news. Bally has pitched to nearly 30 batters since the HBP beanball. 17 Strikeouts to those 30 guys.

Dunn is right on pitches right now.

When the lineup is on... they are scary.
