Tony, as a rule, pitchers should swing less. If you're a pitcher, it's ok to strike out with the bat on your shoulder!
at least he was trying to get something going...sheesh there's no offense from these guys lately. 
The pitcher isn't going to be the catalyst for an offensive revival! In that last at bat, the first pitch to Armas as a foot over his head then he swung at a pitch that was eye level.
That at-bat, in particular, why not force him to pitch himself out of trouble instead of helping him!!!
