I don't think they're pumping Roger's LF abilities because they know he's only played there for a handful of games. I think they're trying to put a positive spin on having to play him there now (sometimes) because Willingham is out.

If you want to play Roger and Nyjer in the same lineup, put Nyjer in right, Roger in CF, and Willie/Morse/Maxwell in left.

You can't play Nyjer in RF. He's probably got the worst OF arm in the league.

He tried, unsuccessfully, to plow the catcher with a big lead and totally missed home plate, and was called out when Pudge grabbed him and threw him back towards home.
