Ramon Ortiz, RHP (10-13, 5.19).....
VS .....
Tomo Ohka, RHP (4-5, 4.83) Ohka will face his former team for the first time since July 17, 2005, when he surrendered three runs in seven innings of a 5-3 Brewers win. Ohka pitched parts of five seasons with the Expos-turned-Nationals and had a falling-out with Washington manager Frank Robinson before the June 2005 trade that sent him to Milwaukee. Ohka is coming off a dismal start against the Astros at Miller Park, in which he surrendered six runs before recording an out in the third inning and walked five batters, four of whom scored.
Ortiz's pattern of inconsistency continued in his last outing, when he allowed seven runs in 6 1/3 innings at Colorado, and was unable to follow up on his near no-hitter in his previous start. Ortiz leads the staff in wins, innings and strikeouts, but also in walks, hits allowed, home runs and hit batters.
