Just sent a scathing e-mail to my season ticket rep about how the team is ripping off the fans.

Can't believe they kept Flash up as a center despite his absolutely horrendous pre-season play, following his pathetic post-season play, and the fact that he doesn't have anything in his skillset that suggests he can play center.

and your season ticket rep printed it out and put a picture of an assclown on it and stuck it on the fridge in the breakroom

lots of people would disgree with the ripping off claim.  you can easily back up all this talk if you sold all your season tickets. i'm sure you can sell all your season tickets for more than you paid for them, unless you are sitting in the super high dollar seats in which case i wouldnt know how much those go for. go ahead. sell them. its really not that hard.

You think Mike Green can play defense.  That nullifies everything else you say.

You think Mike Green can play defense.  That nullifies everything else you say.

when did i say that? even if i did say that, it wouldnt nullify what i said about you being ripped off.

i think what i have said in the past is the combination of mike green's very good offensive/skating/stick abilities and possibly below average defensive abilities still make him a valuable asset to a team even as a "defenseman" and you cant just convert him to wing and expect the same impact.  mike green might be a bonehead sometimes, might not rise to the occasion sometimes, and doesnt clear the crease like we want him to. that doesnt mean he is garbage.

the guy did almost make the Canadian team and has been a Norris Trophy finalist twice.  i'm willing to bet that the people who made those determinations know more than you, someone who might have played the U14 hockey you frequently reference that mike green doesnt know how to play.

go send another drama queen email then cash in your tickets, unless of course you didnt mean what you said to your ticket rep

i'm surprised your ticket rep didnt reply with "i'm sorry you feel that way. would you like to cancel" then he would sell the tickets to someone on the waitlist and everybody would get what they want

Finally word has leaked out that Varlamov has a groin injury. The Capitals have a long tradition of keeping these issues secret as possible. In the latest story on the Post's web site it still states it's "undiscolsed." Seems he is a bit injury prone. I hope goaltending isn't going to be a problem this season.
Neuvirth has a golden opportunity here to show what he can do. It will be a huge blow if he falters.

This is some excerpts from Insider:

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/capitalsinsider/bruce-boudreau/semyon-varlamov-groin-injury.html

Semyon Varlamov told CSN's Corey Masisak that it is a groin injury that has sidelined him for the past week and a half and was why the Capitals ultimately chose to put the goaltender on injured reserve for the start of the season.

Neuvirth will start against Atlanta Friday and Boudreau wouldn't rule out the possibility of Neuvirth playing in each of these first three games in four days.

"I've done it a lot in my career," Neuvirth said about the chance he might play in several games in a short period of time. "But I'm just focusing on tomorrow night. I want to be sharp tomorrow and that's what I'm thinking right now is getting ready for Friday. I'm pretty excited. I can't wait for the game and I'm going to get a little nervous before the game, but I think I can handle the pressure."

Too bad Theo just signed with Minnesota. He could have been a nice insurance policy. Probably cheap and short term deal. We have the cap space.  The guy played pretty well for us and just picked inopportune times to have a bad game only to have Varly get on a hot streak. Seemed like a nice guy

Not concerned about Neuvirth. He played fine last year and was an absolute stud in the calder cup last year

What?

Atlanta's goalie just dropped to the ground unconscious. I'm guessing it's brain related. It looked terrible.

Taking time out from writing papers for grad classes just to say this:

Fire GMGM and Big Fat Bald Moron coach.  Flash can't play center, Semin is worthless, limp-wristed Mikey has screened Neuvirth on one goal and got called for the penalty shot on the other (bad call, but not that bad), and the team has generally gotten their asses kicked in the corners and in front of the net.

Every freaking person on planet MFing Earth knows Green is a dripping horse anus.  There isn't anything resembling a #1 defenseman on this team right now.  10 guys signed for less aav than Green gets who would spend more time blocking shots than screening their own goalie.  Too bad the idiot "hockey people" for the Caps don't think that's a good thing.

Bunch of freaking pansies.  Can't wait to boo these lousy craps out of the VC tomorrow night.
