2 innings for Mike with 25 pitches.
He doesn't give back the lead immediately.
A play that looked very solid from Vidro.

Please continue guys, by adding some runs!

need to move runners over you get a first pitch pop-up from zimmerman....need a groundout from church and you get a comebacker to the pitcher....need an rbi single and you get a deep flyout from vidro
i think that offensively, it has been the biggest problem for the Nats over the past 2 yrs: we dont use our outs effectively. Zimm should have at least moved the runners to 2nd and 3rd (then Lopez would have scored on the double) Church had a runner on 3rd with 1 out and should have hoit the ball to the right side or a sac fly. 2 opportunities to do something useful with your outs - but failed.

For what it's worth, we're making Carpenter work for it!

from the replay it appeared that the ball slipped out before his hand got to it for the exchange

Unbelievable.  We have a knack for siezing defeat from the clutching jaws of victory.
