Which is why people are complaining.
But it's also not "wrong". Every function/capability that existed in Windows 7 is present in Windows 8. The methods are just different sometimes. It's not wrong to be different.
If Windows 8 had been a marginal update, ie keeping the desktop as primary, that would have been a HUGE step backwards for Microsoft. As much as I dislike the tablet form factor, that is a large part of where computing is going. Microsoft needed a tablet OS. Microsoft needed a way to tie that tablet OS to its dominant desktop OS, which NO ONE else currently has but several other OSs are heading toward. Microsoft will be first out of the gate (and best, imo).
