I'm feeling confident about this win now. I might as well drink a cold one to celebrate.

Bruney should develop a change up or a cutter.

Yes, Bruney should change to a cutter.

I guess Rob/Bob would like this.  Hey gang this Bruney guy we signed for a bunch of money is worth every penny.  Wow look at that his ERA just dipped below 7 and I can't think of a better pitcher to be out there in the rain and cold with a 8 run lead!

I'm not even going to bother to post there since they would probably ban me anyway. But some people have very, very, very, very low standards.

the anonymous post probably came from DT herself.

Too many false rumors.

The dude seemed off his friggin rocker.  I wouldn't trust him to look after my goldfish.  I'd put him in jail preemptively.

Per Mark Zuckerman, the game will be officially declared over in 10 minutes and Doug Slaten will be named winning pitcher.

How is that possible? Batista got the out to end the 5th.

He should be the winner.

Batista has to be the winner.  They never took the lead or tied after he left the game.

I think it's a different rule for a reliever. They give it to the guy who was most influential in the win. Batista gave up those runs

It is the scorekeeper's decision. The scorer decides which relief pitcher made the strongest effort, or contributed most to the victory, and at his discretion chooses a winner. He informed Z that Slaten would be the chosen victor due to Batista's homer.
