I like Ph*ck Philly, seems like a decent guy.

Yeah I don't have a problem with him.  He's been very polite for a visiting fan, esp. considering he's caught some flak from a few people.

You've been here since '05 and are finally realizing people say 'Game Over', etc etc. in gameday threads?

I know. I've seen it done time and time again.  That just irritates the hell outta me.  Some people have more mood swings than a woman with major league PMS.

I don't have an issue with him either. I was just busting his balls for being MIA during the series and only making a cameo when his Mets came back and won last night's game.

BTW, Ph*ck Philly, that loud splash you heard was the sound of the Mets (led by K-Rod) crashing onto the wet turf at Citi Field Park.

Dude that would crush our bullpen and "people" would complain about not calling up bullpen arms.

So you would rather keep Bruney on the 25-man than call up Storen? lol ok then...

Wouldn't be unheard of...Didn't Rick Rhoden get a pinch-hit single for the Yanks back in the 80s? Maybe there are other examples.

Drysdale used to pinch hit some times.

And this says he batted as high as sixth in the order:

Anyone know if there is a clip of the Bernadina catch on the 'net?

Thanks.

Quote the post where I stated that preference. My only point is that playing a doubleheader right now to satisfy a need to watch another game would only hurt our bullpen further, especially since people would be complaining if they lost or if the bullpen was forced to pitch 3+ more innings in about 24 hours. Also, they have a plan on how they are going to handle Strasburg and Storen and they are going to stick by their timetable so there's nothing that we can do about it and constant whining about it isn't going to change their plan. Why not just be patient. Both of them will be here, probably, within the next two weeks or so.

Yeah, you're right, I'm pulling a hammondsnats.

It's just puzzling and vexing.  It doesn't make sense to postpone and arb clock with a reliever.

But you're right about a double header, I'd be nervous as hell.

What a well-hit line-drive home-run by Bernadina. He looked nervous last night trying to bunt, but looked all different just now. Anybody notice how hard Adam Dunn "patted" Bernadina on the back of the helmet? Looks like an entire team happy for a player who has just come through.

Oh, what a difference that swing makes!

Powerful strikeout by Capps. Overwhelming...overpowering pitching by Capps. First time I've seen him.

I don't get it wither but they feel they're doing the right thing and I'm going to be patient for TWO or THREE weeks. I do want us to get our bullpen fixed though.

HA!  Listening to a podcast of the local show from today, they had just finished with a segment with Kareem Abdul-Jabar who was in town for a charity function and they were reminiscing the interview.  One of the hosts is a big, I mean, he's a HUGE Mets fan.  They're chatting, and suddenly, in the middle of the segment, you hear this: "He just went yard again. (you hear some papers rustling and you can tell he's pissed) And that's why you never bring in your closer when it's a non-save situation"  His co-host chimes in "and it's that Bernadiner guy again".  Yes he got his name wrong.  It was beautiful.  Then they resumed their previous conversation.
