Can't give Guz a beachball tonight.  Dare I say he even deserves a Dibble at this point?

Didn't Maxwell bat 9th?
Double switch to bring in Clip.  Clip came in for willingham, JMax for Burnett.

Though I like Dunn (hello, Rizzo: re-sign the big guy), Frank Howard sweats never...was it two-dozen upper-deck Frank-Howard-seats?

Just got here...what happened to Hernandez? Why only five innings? Hurt? Or just ineffective so Riggleman pulled him early? I would have expected six innings...

Livan had a 40 pitch first inning  He did have a reasonable night.

I am a bit prone to exaggeration re: Dunn

freak Maxwell.

All he does is get on base against LHP. What a freaking bum.

Ouch: MLB gameday says Livan threw 123 pitches, only 71 strikes. OK. Got it.

He has sunk too deep in the depths of opprobrium for that.

Ump squeezed the hell out of him though.

Didn't he get in as a defensive replacement over the weekend?

It's supposed to be a game-by-game system, running performances don't matter.
