Remember when Frank fired the bullpen coach, Wettleland I think, because the guys were farting around and smashing bobbleheads? They should just be called "babysitter."
Yes that's who I was referring to, our posts crossed.

All I know is I had Roy White as a hitting instructor & I couldn't hit before of after his tutelage. Hitting in a cage or throwing sides aren't the same as in game.

Marquis: Game Changer - Heart Breaker -Hope Smasher - Fan Nightmare. Yep, that about sums it up for now. But when the new and improved Marquis shows up -as we have been assured by all - and that it will happen soon - be sure and let us know

If he has another bad outing would we put him in the pen and call up JD Martin or maybe use Batista as the 5th starter? I think that Marquis will get it together next start, but I'm just curious what our move would be if he can't.

To the pen and nothing but long-relief garbage time.  Plenty of garbage time available lately, not of all it caused by himself.

That's like replacing Steven Shell with Logan Kensing.

Yeah, they are trying to make him a starter now.  His 6.98 ERA in AAA was awesome last year!

I think you saw the difference between a decent pitcher and a Marquis tonight. Lannan looked like he was going to have a disaster inning in the first, but managed to limit the damage, Marquis manages to make a bad situation worse

I've watched him on and off for a while, pretty much as much as any NL west pitcher- a few times per year. I think he is a distinctly mediocre pitcher

We're all waiting for him to get back to mediocre.
