I voted for Walker.  He's going to make Batista look like an ace, if he can ever get in a game.

Christina Kahrl (Baseball Prospectus) predicted English, but I doubt she has a vote here.   Unless she's really spider in drag.....

I have faith.

I'm guessing he puts up somewhere in the neighborhood of 25-30 saves this year with a mid to low 3 ERA.

The first day Storen is eligible for Super-Two I bet he takes over for Batista. Unfortunately, we're probably stuck with him until then.

Batistas' spot is taken by Livo on Sunday morning. I was  the one who predicted the two Willys platooning in RF. Look how that turned out.

Good point, I forgot about that. Well, Storen will grab Beachball's place and Nats Town can rejoice.

Agreed, I can't see anyone else in the organization unless they demote someone to the 'pen and bring up Olsen.

IT IS NOT ABOUT PAY, ITS ABOUT SERVICE TIME AND FREE AGENCY!

Anyway, Lodson said maybe this month for Storen. Rizzo is tired of the crapass bullpen, and I'm guess Riggleman pulled for some of those horrible guys.

PANats is on to something.  The $18m issue with Strasburg - the extra year of arb - does not apply to Storen.  He also will not have the high base figure going into arb that Strasburg will have after his contract expires.  Storen is much more like JZ.  You may see him by the Milwaukee home series, which is just inside 172 days left in the year.  If he stays healthy and with the team, they will conceed arbitration to him as a super 2 like they would have with JZ.  We would have him under control for an extra year, but it would be with an extra year of arb.

JZ should be a Super 2 assuming he is on the roster next season. That makes him a Super 2 at the end of 2011.

He sure looked better last night than he did during ST - thank goodness.

The Gobbler did all right and I liked the way he stayed to cheer the team on rather than hitting the showers. Never would have noticed if it wasn't for Dibble but Walker gets a chance to perform in my book now. Spring don't mean a thing.

Since a vast majority has voted Batista off the island has anyone seen him warm up in the bullpen the past two games. It will be interesting to see if he appears tonight or   Saturday . I would thinhk that Riggleman has seen enough. I think they still have to pay him a full years salary even if the DFA him on Sunday.

BTW, has anyone noticed the number of ex-Nats with the Mariners  and their AAA team? Astounding.

Manny used to seriously overwork a pitcher just before he got demoted, a total dick move.

That may be an indicator, but how do you tell when Batista is overworked? His turd ball gets turdier?
