FLOP got traded to the Brewers.

He's had a great season so far. Should make the Brewers better. They needed a leadoff hitter.

Jose Guillen is embarassed.

Rotoworld.com:

Quote
Jose Guillen told reporters Monday that he is "embarrassed" by the way he's playing and the salary he is earning in the process.
Guillen is batting .243 this season with nine home runs and 37 RBI, all well below his career average pace. "I’m embarrassed by the money that I’m making," he said, "and playing the way I’ve been playing. I’ll swear that on my kids’ (lives). I feel very embarrassed... I hate making excuses. If I suck, then I suck. And I suck. That’s the way I’m playing." Jul. 21 - 9:53 am et

Rotoworld.com:

He may be a pain in the ass, and he may try to play hurt, but I've never known him not to give a big effort.  There's been times this year when I wish we had him in right.

From Rotoworld.com:

Brewers signed RHP Jesus Colome to a minor league deal.

Colome, fresh off a disastrous 8.40 ERA and 1.93 WHIP in 15 relief appearances for the Washington Nationals, will report to rookie-ball Helena to rebuild his strength after being inactive since July 3. Don't expect much; he'll probably be a September call-up and will get a chance then to make a case for a job in 2010.

Good luck with that Milwaukee.

Luis Ayala is on the Marlins now. Is that like 10 teams for him in the past year?

Wow, Colome at rookie leagues. I guess that's their backup plan in case Roy Halladay doesn't work out?

It's every ballplayer's dream to hit the big city lights of Helena. Sorry, I'm knocking it. The 7 Montana residents and their cow are welcome to come after me.

Right, just the one.

Besides, Wikipedia lists cattle ranching as a major industry, and points out that Peggy Hill was descended from Montana cattle ranchers. How could Wikipedia and King of the Hill be wrong? ;)

The entire state has a smaller population than Fairfax County. I'm pretty sure I can make up lies about them

I just looked up Dairy cows.  Either way, the trout fishing up there is spectacular.

I'll go there eventually, as I have to finish my Pokemon-style conquest of the states, but I'm not as thrilled about the prospect as I am for say Hawaii or Arizona :) As long as Colome is there, it'll remain the butt of my jokes.
