Joba may have a role model for the dinner table, if CC was not one already.  forget about Pettitte: bring back Boomer Wells!

I feel a joke coming on:  Boomer Wells, Joba Chamberlain, CC Sabathia, and Bartolo Colon walk into the Carnegie Deli. . . .

I doubt the Yanks would have any interest in Livo but if they did we would be selling high and could probably get a pretty decent return considering the situation the Yankees are in especially if Pettitte retires.

It was a fat joke.

But Livo, if you're reading this, we all know you only get better with every added year and every additional inch on the waistline.  We wouldn't trade you for anything.  :)

Livo, if you're reading this I want you to know that I appreciate your contributions to the team but that if the Yankees offered me Mark Teixeira, Brett Gardner, and CC Sabathia for you, your ass would be in pinstripes faster than Gardner runs the bases. =P

NEW YORK -- A three-game series between the Florida Marlins and Mariners June 24-26 has been moved from Miami to Seattle because of a U2 concert.

Major League Baseball said Thursday the change was made because of the scheduling conflict at Sun Life Stadium. The rock band U2 is scheduled to play at the stadium June 29 and the Marlins must vacate the stadium to allow setup time for the concert.

Florida will remain the home team and will bat last, and the series will be played under NL rules, without a designated hitter.

The Marlins are scheduled to move into their own retractable-roof ballpark in 2012.

Because if they play in another stadium with no people in it it might actually feel like a home game.  Thus, they wouldn't be nearly as screwed.

I tried posting it a few times, for some reason my comment kept appearing in a larger quote box with the link, not sure what was happening but I finally out of frustration deleted the link and kept the content quote.

Didn't mean to hurt anybody's feelings, but do it yourself, try quoting his original post and you'll see what I mean.

Horrible idea to move another home game to the away team and give any idea that it's "fair." The Phillies and Blue Jays, you begrudgingly accepted it because it was a late change and unavoidable. Moving a series due to a freaking concert, WTF? And furthermore, there's a huge difference between Philly and Toronto and Florida and Seattle. Are there two teams farther apart in all of baseball? Now the Marlins don't just have the disadvantage of not being the home team, they have one of the longest travels possible in baseball. For a freaking concert. What a freaking joke. Ridiculous, and ridiculously unfair. Horrible decision. Move the game to TB if they are away, or Atlanta, or anywhere other than freaking Seattle. Seriously, any of the other 28 stadiums in MLB. **** it, it's Florida.

Move it to one of the Spring Training camps. Or a AAA ballpark. Why on earth move it to Seattle, the most unfair resolution possible to this? Or why not just tell U2 to bleep off and move their concert, either the date or the venue. Moves like this infuriate me the more often they occur, because you know being in DC with international events and protests and crap, it might happen here eventually. If this were the Nats instead of the Marlins, we'd all be screaming bloody murder.
