At least Nyjer is playing well. We'll probably trade him in the middle of the season for a draft pick that we won't sign.

how many first rounders have we not signed- 1?

Crow screwed himself. Strasburg everyone knew would be down to the wire. I have no idea why you constantly make this argument.

Hah, yeah right.  Tell that to Pirates fans, and O's fans, and Royals fans.

This team could easily be very bad for a long, long time.  This isn't like the NFL or NHL.

Or we could get good, very quickly. We stink now, that's all that matters to people. I get that. I just don't subscribe to the same mentality. If we suck for 30 years like the Royals or for 15 years like the Os, then I'll get all worked up. For now, I'm just sort of numb to it all. It's better for my psyche :)

I think they're trying to do good things. I give them credit for that. Whether or not it all pans out remains to be seen.

Really, this woes is me, we'll never win anything ever, our owner's suck, everyone sucks, emo douchebaggery is really, really old. You're like what? 17? When you're as old and grizzled as I am, you'll realize that you're never as good as you think or as bad as you seem. Nothing ALWAYS stays the same. Things change all the time.

But this team stinks, so I don't blame you for being irritated. Just don't expect me to jump on the pity party. It's a waste of energy for a crap team.

The Nats are as bad as they look. The numbers say so. Back to back to back 103+ loss and #1 draft pick seasons say you are bad.

If you in include the expos, we've sucked for a while now  :stir:

We'll be fine, our number 1 and 2 pitchers are in the minors and on the DL. How would the Phillies rotation be minus Halladay and Hammels?

And one stud pitcher a team doesn't make. look at Toronto with Halladay. The NL East has Philly and Atlanta...we'll be lucky to sniff 3rd place at our peak right now.

So I know there's a spelling and grammar Nazi, so there's probably a game thread Nazi too, right?

Sorry to the Game Day Thread Czar

I really didn't mean to hijack the game day thread. My bad :(

Happ, Blanton and Kendrick. 2 mediocre guys and a nats quality starter.

Where is our bullpen though? That still sucks with Wang, Strasburg, and Zimmermann in the rotation.

storen is in the minors. I don't think the FO really expected to compete this year; hence the batistas of the world. I expect us to get better middle relievers next year

Yes, they're bad. There's no disputing that. You deal in only absolutes though, there's no gray in your life anywhere. And that's fine, whatever floats your boat. I just can't deal with that frame of mind. It's exhausting. I know you're a fan and it sucks to lose. So I don't blame you at all.

You get to feel as bad as you want and look forward to whatever you want. That's your God Given right and part of the Bill of Rights of the WNFF Constitution. So knock yourself out.

I think the pen is Stammen's ultimate destination too.  Maybe Balester's as well.

The former nats watch aka Pirates game. On top of the Dodgers.

Now tie game for the Rangers. Funny how things can happen like that.

Well crap, if we can have the rotation (and make it work) with Strasburg, Wang, Marquis, Zimmermann, Lannan, Detwiler... I would love to see Stammen and Balester move to the pen. Better them than crap Batistas and Beachballs.

I love that the Nats are playing this like a spring training game. Subbing in all the players and everything!

So cute!

8 walks today by the pitching staff. Clearly they have turned over a new leaf.
