Join the club, I'm sitting on a bullpen of Feliz, Thronton, and Madson.

Somebody tell me that there is something wrong with this paragraph and that I didn't drink too much coffee this morning.  From ESPN:

Quote
Nyjer Morgan, OF, Nationals: Note that 50 of Morgan's 58 stolen bases last season came against right-handers. That's probably because he batted a woeful .202 against them. And even if he does get on base, the 38-year-old Ivan Rodriguez still has a canon for an arm, throwing out 22 of 63 would-be thieves last season (35 percent).

I'm guessing it was talking about Morgan against LHP, and maybe Jimmy Rollins having problems stealing against Pudge?!??

No, I'm positive Nyjer won't be able to steal against Pudge this year.

I'm dropping Rangers closer FF for either Jon Rauch or Matt Capps ... i'm thinking Chewy.

Russel Martin is hitting .364 with a homer. He looks like he may be back after last year. I have McCann. Does anyone want to trade for either?

Rauch has a bunch of saves already, I drafted him right after another guy in my league drafted the guy who's now setting up for Rauch.

If you still have interest in Rollins, I would be willing to make a package deal deal for one of McCann/Martin + Broxton/Wilson

After being ahead of or tied with Minty all week, he has surged ahead of me today.  Lannan killed me.  I guess I'll have to go with a team of no Nats.

My offense hit .422 today which has been my downfall all week.

If it makes you feel better, Bourbon and Andrus (hopefully my source of steals for the season) combined to hit around .125 and steal 0 bases

I really hope I don't tie. I HATE ties.

I need Pujols to at least get one hit tonight. My pitchers sucked this week. Still need a closer.

I have a feeling I'm not going to end up with a record like I had last year (20-2).

You are going to win 6-4. I had several crappy outings in the K department or we would have tied.

Nice move picking up Blackburn to match up against your other pitcher (Buehrle) considering you had already won the ERA and WHIP categories for the week. Could have been a huge W for your team. I would have done the same thing.

Thanks. Without that move it could have been 6-3-1.

I'm thinking this year will be another uphill climb.

Any thoughts on the following starters available in my league:  Freddy Garcia, Jeremy Bonderman, Dontrell, Brian Bannister, Brad Bergeson? 4 categories (W, S, ERA, WHIP).  I'm a bit surprised how many sites like Bergeson. Bonderman, Dontrelle, and Garcia all had good first starts.  Bonderman is the hot pick now in many leagues, but he has been a 4.5+, mediocre whip era guy for all but 2006.  Garcia is old, and Dontrelle has looked good all spring and has an easy start coming up. Right now, I'm leaning toward a few $$ bid on Garcia, with a backup of bonderman, and maybe a $1 flier on dontrelle for a few weeks.

Alright folks, need some help.  I need a new closer/reliever in my fantasy league, I picked up the Indians' Perez off waivers because I thought it might be smart, that turned out to be a failed experiment.  Who should I replace him with?  Here's a list of the notable relievers.  It's a standard yahoo league, the 5 P categories are W, S, K, ERA, WHIP.

Casey Janssen, Kevin Gregg, Jeremy Affeldt, Sean Marshall, Jeremy Bonderman, Matt Capps, Peter Moylan, Micah Owings, Joel Zumaya, Tom Gorzelanny, Todd Coffey, Rafael Betancourt, Dennys Reyes, Octavio Dotel, LaTroy Hawkins, Jenson Lewis, Takashi Saito, Jaime Garcia, Burke Badenhop, Blaine Boyer

Any suggestions?

Talk to Linty about Lewis or maybe Tony Sipp.  They used Sipp tonight for a one batter match up in the 8th, so maybe he is just a LOOGY, but at one time he was regarded as a closer before TJ.

Meanwhile, I love Matt Thornton.  He just went 2 innings in a tie game, threw 24 pitches, and got 4 Ks.  Before him, Putz went and innings 12 pitches 2 Ks.  I hv eboth, plus jenks, and I kind of root for Jenks to lose his closer slot so that one of these guys can take over.

By the way, did I say I love Matt Thornton.  G-D is he good.  I would love to see the Nats convert Detwiler into a reliever just so he could look like Matt Thornton if you really squint.
