I don't even want to know what he does to the Bryce Harper poster that's hanging in his room.

What happened to McGeary again?

Did he end up getting Tommy John surgery?

Paul Demny continues his excellence for the Hagerstown Suns. 7 scoreless innings last night.

Overall on the season: 78.2 IP 67 H 23 ER 4 HR 29 BB 64 K (5-2, 2.63 ERA, 1.22 WHIP)

Promote him to Potomac! One of the bums there can be put on the DL or sent down.

His K and BB rates are average, I would wait and see.

Just a note on the P-Nats Booster Club Auction - the money raised goes to the players in one way or another.  Please come bid generously!  It's also a fireworks night (and so is Sunday)

WISH  the auction was online.  I'd bid on some of those.  Going to the NATS on Sat and PNATS on Sunday.

Holy crap Josh Smoker has been bad

1-8, 6.88 ERA, 1.77 WHIP, 8.4 K/9 (the one good part), 6.2 BB/9. I figured the Ks would bring his FIP down, but it's still 5.99.

Has Smoker been dealing with injuries? He doesn't have many innings for a guy in his third season as a starter.

Don't quote me on this, but I think I heard he stayed at extended spring training for a very long time.

Was that Potomac?  Tonight?   I went to the game on Sunday.  Oh man!  Wilmington was leading for most of the game 13-0.  We started to come back but it was too little, too late.

I forget the final score.   13-6 or something like that.  Very disappointing.   Oh well, the fireworks were good.

Just a quick note. The Silent Auction at Potomac National Game on Saturday night, 3 July 2010, raised about $2500, which is the highest that has ever been raised. All money goes to benefit the P-Nats players in some way - like grocery gift cards, etc. Maybe next year, they will try to put the auction on-line, and/or it won't be the same date that Strasburg is pitching for the Nats.
     Now back to vacation....... :run:

# Saturday: Defeated DSL Cubs2 10-1 (box). RHP Silvio Medina picked up the win, allowing five hits and two walks over 6IP with four strikeouts. CF Edgardo Baez was 2/6 with a run scored; 2B Nelalexfred Ortega was 2/6 with a run & RBI; DH Bienvenido Valdez was 3/6 with a run & RBI; 3B Jean Valdez was 1/5 with a double, run & two RBI; and RF Narciso Mesa was 2/4 with a double, two runs & two RBI.

What this team needs is a Nelalexfred and a Bienvenido  :worship:

I'm guessing Nelalexfred is a compromise between Nelson, Alejandro, and Frederico.

Vermont's pitching staff is doing real well, though I'm not sure how much of that is age. I hope the team has a few prospects.
