Orlando Hudson is clearly their first choice, though Hudson's agent is looking for a huge payday, reportedly $9 million. Today's signing of Miguel Tejada by the Orioles for around $6 million should indicate to Hudson that he won't get even that much money.

Overall value, they are very similar. Hudson made 3.6 as a FA last year. There's no way he'll get 9 this year. 7 sounds about right.

My problem with bonuses for position players is they are all offense based goals. If you are signing a player for his glove, why not base his bonus money on games finished?

Who cares?  It's not about whether Pineiro is good or not - it's a matter of supply and demand.  Now that he's off the market, you have a different ratio of teams vying for SP and available "decent" SP.

And Wang? Really? I don't trust pitchers with arm problems (which is why I'm not high on Sheets either).
