So as we know Capps is deciding between Nats and Cubs and the decision should come tonight. Ken Rosenthal likes the Nats chances (according to his latest report on foxsports.com).
This is turning into a nice offseason for us, imo.
I think "nice" is the appropriate adjective. It's not a knock-your-socks-off off-season, but considering where the Nats are in the pecking order of most players' desirable locations we've done o.k.
It would be nice to make some really significant improvements but this off-season provided a fairly barren free-agent market and we really didn't have enough to be in the Halladay/Lee sweepstakes anyway.
I'd still love to see the MI situation addressed and I'd love to get Ben Sheets.
Still, passable thus far.
