Every time I come back from class or work or something, I keep hoping to see something new...

The waiting's the hardest part.

I want to know what's going on. I hate being kept in the dark.

Are our reporters that lazy or are the Nats just refusing to say anything even though it's 2 hours past the deadline?

Obviously this. Why do I care what they pay their arbitration players? I hope it's fair, I guess.

I'm pretty sure our reporters aren't lazy. You don't need to insult them like that, every one of them (even Harlan) works their asses off in ways you don't even know.

Harlan doesn't do anything. He's the worst.

How can they not know the figures that the Nats and the players exchanged yet? They are the only team in baseball that has yet to come out with anything. No signings, no dollar exchanges, nothing.

Either the reporters are sleeping on the job or the Nats are just keeping everything quiet for no good reason.

If the reporters had the information, they'd share it. Christ, you really have no idea how the media operates. It's not easy to just get all the info whenever you want it. We'll get it sometime soon, relax.

Someone has to have the information. The deadline was Noon. The information is out there to be found if you are a good enough reporter.

I give Ladson credit. He is actively calling players/coaches/etc to get insight and information. Other than that I don't see much from the Nats reporters.

I would recommend you read the CBA before you condemn the beat writers.

You just don't get it. Teams are tight-lipped about stuff like this, and besides, what's the difference between knowing now and in a few hours?

You do realize that the media isn't allowed into these negotiations don't you?

Chill out. The news will come out sometime.

then get a job in the Nats front office.

otherwise kwitchernagin.

you won't hear anything about the figures that are exchanged. you'll only hear something when someone signs.

go outside, get some fresh air.

you are a fan on a message board. not a Baseball Executive. nobody is obligated to tell you anything until it happens. get over it.

I understand what you guys are saying but why are the lowly Nats the only team in baseball not to release anything?

That's an egregious over-exaggeration - the Nats aren't the ONLY team.  Come on, dude.  Just relax.

Look at all the signings and numbers released over the last two days and then get back to me.

That's not an exaggeration.

Nats agreed to terms on 2010 contracts with Jason Bergmann, Jesus Flores, Wil Nieves and Josh Willingham, thus avoiding salary arbitration.

I'm not sure where she got that from, but maybe we'll finally see some info.
