There's a distinctive liquor store on the Eastern Shore near Cambridge called the Wishing Well, right on Rt. 50.  Always intrigued by it, finally stopped in  Picked up a handle of Wild Turkey for around $40 and asked the clerk if he had anything special hiding under the counter, which he did.    :D

Solid selection overall, if you're headed that way and beats Virginia ABC pricing handily (except when the occasional 20% off sale is in progress).

My buddy's wife orders all the booze for the DC Costco so she pulls me a bottle of Blanton's from every shipment.

Scored another bottle for $55.00 yesterday.

On the way back from Daytona yesterday we made a side trip to the Costco at Myrtle Beach so I could check out their selections for the first time. Didn't see any Blanton's tho but I did fill up for $1.69 a gallon. SC gas pricing is ridonkulous.

Have been to that Costco many a time.  We will pass through there this weekend on the way back to FL.  Yes, gas is cheap in SC.  Although I paid $1.83 per gallon this morning at the Costco in Woodbridge VA which is a good price.

There's not a better $55 whiskey on the planet.

Great. I just bought my first bottle of Woodford and now I have to get something else. :(

Good luck finding Blantons at any price lately, much less $55.

The 20 dollar Kirkland Costco scotch is decent for its price. That’s 20 bucks for 1.5 L. The step up for 40 bucks for a handle is even better. But for something to mix or just get drunk on my porch they are great. I found the pandemic was making me race thru my expensive stuff. So this is a good substitute that won’t break me.

Wishing Well has a surprisingly good selection of wine and beer.

I can’t recommend Mularkey’s distillery in Manassas highly enough. Fantastic spirits, especially their cinnamon whiskey, vodka, heritage whiskey, and smoked whiskey. Great people and products.

I didn't even see them, was dazzled and blinded by all the shiny beautiful bottles to the left.

Seeing as how I live in Virginia, this store doesn't carry liquor, but with that said, earlier this year we discovered a decent wine store in Clifton, the Wine Attic. It's in the town of Clifton just south of the railroad crossing next to the public parking lot where that caboose is on display and the entrance is right on the corner of the street side of the building (the store itself is upstairs). They sell beer as well. Nice small business with some good stuff, although I will admit I tend to buy more beer and wine from Wegmans simply because it's a lot more convenient to do it when I'm grocery shopping as opposed to making the drive out to Clifton, especially fi the weather is iffy.

It's a great vodka for making cocktails! It's a great hand sanitiser! It comes in airport-security-ready 100mL bottles! It's TRAVEL SAFE (60% ABV), the most versatile of spirits! https://liviko.eu/en/liviko-distillery/travel-safe/

Certainly better than that time a few years back when schoolkids in Montgomery county were caught drinking Purell.

Actually it's made by the same people who make Viru Valge vodka - the world's finest - so it may not be too bad. Those ever-innovating Estonians....

I would love to see the look one gets when using it to clean their tray table and arm rests, and then drinking the rest.

We were walking on the beach at Carolina Beach and found a bar on the boardwalk there (Beach Bumz) that sells $1 beer. A quintessential dive bar but beer in a can for buck.

You can pretty much guess. There were a bunch, all the usual bottom dwellers. PBR, Busch, Rolling Rock and many others.

Wasn't there a TV ad back in the day for some macro piss that advertised "the beer for when you are having more than one"?

PBR should never be served or even sold in units smaller than a pitcher.  Maybe a keg.
