Old Bust Head in Vint Hill near Warrenton, and Eavesdrop have made it to the finals of the NoVa beer wars. Coincidentally these are my two favorite breweries in the area but OBH is my pick - best variety and generally very very good beers.

i've seen a few breweries in the area close recently. Seems like the industry just expanded way too fast. At one point there were 8 within a 10 minute drive of my home (not counting brewery / restaurants like BJs. One closed about six months ago (Tin Cannon), another is rumored to be closing soon.

Gotta bump this because I have to rave about this sparkling wine I'm drinking. I've been on a champagne/bubbly kick in recent months, and having tried a good few, I gotta say that Graham Beck's regular brut is one of the tastiest bottles I've had. It's around 20 bucks down here in Tejas, but it stands up to the best champagnes in the 50-70 range.
