That was a foul, though. They should have just stood there and put their hands up. We had two bigs down there.

Didn't look like Haywood touched him at all. He swiped his hand at the ball and missed. Still, it's ridiculous to call a foul at that point of the game.

Randolph is a beast. Would love to have that dude on our team.

unfreaking believable. Randolph climbing over Butler's back and no foul called.

Jamison is a freaking black hole. takes the worst shots and never passes to open players.

Jamison getting his ass beat in the post by Randolph too.

The Wiz will never win a thing with him in the starting lineup. Trade him for a bag of balls to get rid of his contract.

Jamison is one of only 4 players in the NBA to average 20/10 - he's hardly a black hole. You can can certainly squawk about his defense because he's undersized, but he works his ass off out there.

Our $111 Million dollar point guard can't hit a clutch shot or a pair of FTs.

Memphis center Marc Gasol who has a 2009 salary of $3.33 Million calmly drains two FTs to ice the game.

Is Ernie Grunfeld a freaking idiot or is he just blind?

A team with Gilbert Arenas, Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison, Randy Foye, etc, etc can't beat a team comprised of journeyman Zach Randolph and an assortment of young unproven guys like Mayo, Conley, etc.

They couldn't beat Minnesota who has little to no talent.

This team just isn't good and never will be. The team as a whole is less than the sum of it's parts.

It's not Ernie's fault, Abe wouldn't let him break up the Butler/Jamison/Arenas contingent, now that Abe has passed, all three are on the trade block, big changes will be made. Leonsis is a blow it up/build from within kind of guy, so that will happen soon enough. Besides, on the surface, trading for Miller (hurt) and Foyer (not 100% since rolling his ankle) was a good move at the time. The team has talent, just no hearts and smarts right now.

Besides, it's basically all about luck in the NBA. First you have to suck, then you have to win the lottery, then you have to hope that the year you do suck AND win the lottery, there's that transcendental talent waiting to be picked. And with the whacked trade rules and guaranteed contracts and the way FA works in the NBA it's a total crap shoot.

They'll be blown up soon enough. Frankly, I saw enough crap basketball for over a decade in the Wes years, not all together anxious to go back to that. Whatever, really, what does it matter? It's not like they're winning now.

Yep. They must blow it up ASAP. Dump Gilbert, Caron, AJ, etc for whatever you can get in terms of young talent or draft picks.

We had a lottery pick last year but Ernie traded it for two bench players. Neither will be here long term.

And the last few years Ernie has sold our second round picks for cash. It's time to stop signing veterans and go young and re-build this franchise from the ground up.

I can't wait until Miller comes back. I still think this team can make a run. We do need to trade James for a defensive player w/ an expiring contract, though.

See, and there's the rub, the Wiz had the 2nd worst record in the NBA and got the WORST slot you can in the lottery 5th. Outside of Blake Griffin everyone else was a total crap shoot. The only player making a big impact is Jennings and he was not high on anyone's board. Outside of Griffin, the "big" name was Rubio, but he made it clear if he was picked by Washington, he would stay in Europe. So who should the Wiz have taken at 5? Curry? Hill? DeRozan? Flynn? None of those players would make a lick of difference on this team and none are who you build a franchise around.  It's all luck in the NBA (or a conspiracy) take your pick.

Arenas has been playing really well recently. 17 pts, 6 ast, 4 reb, 2 stl, 2 bs so far tonight.

Wizards are up 51-45 w/ 2 minutes left in the 2nd.

Flip says he feels bad for the people who paid to watch this team play-SK

Flip is very ticked tonight, he says they can't guard anyone, that he could drive right around his players playing 1 on 1-SK

Biggest joke in Pro Sports, eh? As compared to ahhh who, maybe like the Nationals Baseball Team in Pro Sports?

(Ironic - you root for two years for the worst team in Baseball (and that includes me) and you say that the Wizards are the biggest joke in Pro Sports! What's wrong with this picture? I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count.......ya think)  ;)
