The game on Saturday night (Halloween) at the Verizon Center was awesome. Some of the shots Arenas made, especially the one at the buzzer, across 3/4th of the court, was awesome. The Wizards definitely have some depth this year, and the Director of Basketball stated that they were 3 deep this year.
But the Opening game was awesome: from the Gilbert Arenas masks they gave out; to the smoke/fog in the entrances while you were waiting in line to come in; to the large boxes of candy they had out on tables on the concourse - where you could help yourself (trick or treat); to the costume contest they had where the person with the best costume got 2 free season tickets, for the rest of the season (guy dressed as the Metro, won the award); and to the introduction of the players and coach.
As to the game itself, it was action-packed with the booing of referees, to the chanting of "Bad Call", to the jumping up and down of fans to some of the shots that the Wizards made. This is a fun time to watch the Wizards. Next game November 4, 7:00pm, at the Verizon Center.
