Horsecrap. Then don't throw up "he is drawing tough situations." Why even say it if it is not implying the reason Bergmann sucks is because he is thrown into perilous situations that as a major league pitcher (ha) he should know how to handle?

That viewpoint is nothing but a weak excuse for a weak pitcher.



I'll speak for myself, if you don't mind.  It is a fact (not just in my own mind) that Bergmann is repeatedly being used in high leverage situations.  Bringing him in to face Manny with a runner on is just another example.  I made no implication whatsoever as to whether that was a good or bad thing, and I certainly didn't imply anything one way or the other about how he was doing or not in these situations.  You just made that up as a pretext for more of your favorite sport.
