He hit on Dodger sillies. Dodger chicks at a Nats game is like SF at a minor league game.

nice, were they real sillies, or "best you can do at a 100-loss baseball tema game" sillies?

The type of sillies that show up just to get hit on by guys and get bombed. I can back up hammonds though, this one chick in black tight spandex pants just had the nicest ass

as for the game, holy crap ryan zimmerman ... the sound of the ball of his bat was like sweet music.  i thought detwiler was fantastic tonight with a couple bad calls by the ump and a "WTF was that" miscue by willie harris.

Post Express has an article about "lowly" Nats losing the day after a win :bang: I'll see if I can find the link.

Winning yesterday doesn't change the reality that this team sucks.  There's nothing in that article that I can disagree with, even the word "lowly".  I know people rankle at that word on Nationals boards, but the last time I checked, being 30th out of 30 teams in terms of record is pretty damn low in the major league standings, and being on the way to the second straight 100+ loss season doesn't deserve any positive adjectives.

Yeah but at least I wasn't there to see the 100th LOSS :icon_mrgreen:

Great Game!  Got my Strasburg T-shirt.

Was 2IPAS on the Kiss Cam?

All this criticism of Guzman.  I know he made errors last night but how about that Line Drive Catch to keep the Dodgers to only one ahead!

Stupid ESPN, they talked about Billingsly last night when I got home.  They said he's gotten so many losses lately that they may leave him off the Playoff Roster.  Geez, the guy pitched a no hitter into late innings!  Guess that doesn't count!

after the game i did see them show the highlights of zimmerman's bomb and pete "the warrior" orr's textbook sac-fly

they then proceeded to make fun of our team, but hey, at least they showed the highlights

Well ESPN putting the NATS down just goes without saying.  They used the Zimmerman HR to point out how bad Billingsly is.  I'm just saying they didn't mention he was pitching a no hitter until then.

I WAS a Dodger fan before I was a NATS fan.  My folks grew up in Brooklyn and my Brother was in LA for a time.  I will root for them in the playoffs.  I just think Billingsly is a better pitcher than they think he is.

He's welcome to come pitch in DC.
