Livan is going to weasel Rizzo into giving him a 2010 guaranteed contract isn't he?  :hurr:

You're using it wrong.

pitcher threw it right down the middle into his swing. thank god he hit it out.

he's ran into a couple this year.

  so Bard had absolutely nothing to do with it, it was just pure blind luck that the pitcher hit his bat with the ball.

but when Nieves hits a weak ass bloop single, that's all 100% Phenomenal Skill. right?

  GTFOHWTBS you are so biased it is ridiculous, and that's why everyone bickers at you.

How many runs will Martin give back this inning?  I say, at least, one.

Zero.  Thanks, JD.

maybe if Bard hit a HR more frequently it would be more than just running into a meatball.

the same can be said for whenever Nieves or Orr homers as well.

Sportsfan, this is not "you've never played at a high level crap?" - Have you ever hit a home run? I admit that I haven't. But I'm not saying a pro hitter "ran into a fastball"

The point is that you wouldn't make a douchey remark about it if Nieves or one of your other boys "ran into one."

no.

Bard has an awful swing but when a pitcher throws it down the middle and into his swing of course he has a chance to hit it out.

Well, Riggleman blew it for him.

Another time, Riggleman refuses to let the young pitchers get out of trouble AND going to Ron Villone, like that's a better option!  >:(

I agree. Martin continues to throw the ball down the middle but I would have rather seen him stay in over bringing in villone.

at the beginning of the season people were saying that Willingham was a worse OFer than Dunn and that wasn't that far-fetched.

now look at how solid he is out there. makes a diving/spectacular catch almost every night. looks a lot more comfortable.

I can't criticize Bard.  Considering the history of this team with injuries.  I don't have to run down the list of players who've been on the DL more than they've been on the active roster.  >:(

Josh Bard has...limitations but he's still playing.  I mean, he is what he is.  :|

...and that reaching and stretching, alone, would have put some current and former Nats on the 15-day DL.
