I want Harper to go to the AFL. First and foremost because he signed so late and it would held off balance the fact he lost nearly a year of development. Further, it would be good for him to face talent way above his current level. If by some absurd unlikelihood he actually performed well in AFL, well, that leaps his development by another year. I just don't see the downside. Everyone saying "oh, you'll kill his poor psyche if he gets owned, he'll never be the same." apparently doesn't realize what an egotistical jackass Harper is from all accounts I have read. The potential upside is too strong not to send him, and it looks like there is a chance he could be ready. Just send him and let history figure the rest out.
