AlGo and Guzman both listed as SS, I assume AlGo is at 2B though.

yeah. typo. he's playing 2B.

guess they really want to test AlGo's mettle. he's going through a disastrous stretch at the plate and is visibly frustrated with himself. He looks very discouraged. Hope he can battle through it and start hitting like he was earlier this season.

Riggleman is cruel

Why is Riggleman "cruel" when he does this, but when Acta did it he was "stupid?" Just curious.

Cards have hit .222 over their last 10 games, their offense is the least of our worries.  Their pitching, on the other hand, has been superb.  We need to knock out Smoltz and have Lannan pitch a respectable game, and this match is winnable.

I was kidding with that because you know he is going to get ripped for starting AlGo again.

I bet Rizzo told him to quit the Belliard nonsense and let AlGo work through his slump.

Are you seriously comparing Rig to Acta? Rig isn't even a good manager but he looks like Joe Torre compared to Acta. :lmao:

I dunno. I consider "cruel" to be worse than "stupid". "stupid" means you don't know any better or are misguided. "cruel" means you know better, and do it anyway.

acta was misguided as to how good Algo is or isn't. Riggleman knows he sucks ass, but starts him anyway.

Absolutely not. As with most on this board, I was just trying to figure out your logic. ;)

oh hell. who knows what the freaking line-up is. The line-up I posted earlier was from yahoo.

now Pete from MASN just posted this one. He is wrong a lot though:

Harris - CF
Orr - 2B
Zimmerman - 3B
Dunn - 1B
Willingham - LF
Dukes - RF
Bard - C
Gonzalez - SS

Lannan - P

i told you pete orr would be the everyday starter at 2B. this team is so terrible.

riggleman plays orr the day he gets called up, but mike morse gets one start every 2 weeks?

unbefreakinglievable.

WarriOrr + Gonsuckez in the middle.

my god, Riggles must really hate Morse.

either that or Morse is a horrendous defensive player.

Morse isn't really a second baseman.

With Syracuse he played 1B (27 games, 1 error), 3B (15 games, 0 errors), SS (1 game, 0 errors), and LF (4 games, 0 errors).

He played 2B for like 19 games with Seattle's AAA team earlier this year. But he's never played 2B in the Majors. He's kind of too big for 2B. Better suited for a corner infield/outfield spot.

it's hard to say pete orr's "played" second base in the majors as well
