:lmao: at you thinking that 5 runs is "ice cold offense".
the last few innings they were ice cold. that's why I said that they have gone cold.

they were hot early and then fizzled out. need to score some more to win

Well, I HOPE they win but I EXPECT them to lose games like this.

you expect the team to lose every game where they don't score 20 runs and the pitcher doesn't throw a no-hitter.

what does your magic 8-ball say the Nats lose by today?

PC and SF, put your money where your mouth is.  What's the bet?

Just like a told JMad last night, I never root against the Nationals and that's what this bet would be, me rooting against them.

Have you not watched this team all season?  How can you not expect them to lose this game?  Why is this even debatable?

Don't be a chickencrap.  The score's already 5-3, so you're really betting that 2 runs won't win the game
I am betting that 5 runs won't be enough for the Nats to win. If they hold the Cubs to 1 run or less for the next 3 innings you win the bet and I lose.

You're both chickencraps.  Bet win or lose.  That's all that matters.

We've won about 1 in 3 on the season, and almost every second game since the break.  What part of "significantly better than zero odds" do you not understand?

I cannot believe we let Randy Wells go 7 innings today. that's embarrassing

5 runs is pretty good man.  i agree we should be looking for more, but 5 runs isn't bad.  i know you only care about numbers in certain situations, but he's had some pretty good numbers this year.

asking your bullpen to give up 1 run or less in the next 3 innings shouldn't be hard should it?

you don't trust the pen?

It isn't all that matters.  I WANT TO BE WRONG!  I HOPE I'M WRONG!  I'LL BE THRILLED IF I'M WRONG!

...but how can I EXPECT it?

What does that have to do with it?  I don't care how they win.  You're a chickencrap because you only ever take or propose bets where the odds are stacked in your favor.  Predicting a team with 5.08 ERA on the season won't be able to win with 5 runs?  BRILLIANT!!!!

It sounds like you are nagging for a guarantee of some kind but you are definitely watching the wrong activity for that.

You can be right 24/7 as long as the Nats win.  Not my problem.

SF and PC are like those people who are disappointed when a hurricane veers off at the last minute and doesn't destroy their lives.

Why wouldn't you believe that?  Why would you think that I'd hope the team I root for, loses?  What's in that for me?

somewhere on the dugout bench, AAAAlberto GonzAAAAlez is daydreaming of grounding into double plays and striking out in clutch situations.
