Lopez now has three errors in four games.

This is so embarrassing.  We are making it so easy for Nolassco.  Just pitiful.

Then again, I believe the player thrown out at the plate was the same one that hit the ball booted by Lopez, and if that's the case all 3 runs that inning would be earned.

Schneider hits one deep, but foul. This team is so bad and very very unlucky.

Is it possible that every pitcher (average or otherwise) has their best stuff when they face our lineup?

Well, Schneider got on base, at least.  We don't have to start the next inning with the pitcher at-bat.

no we just make them look like they do.

That's not good news on Vidro. That may hurt his trade value.

Armas could have atleast made an attempt to get a hit.  He swung at two curve balls way way outside the zone.

I thought I was the only one that thought that way.

reason for pessimism from Nats fans:
July 5th LOSS
July 7th LOSS
July 8th LOSS
July 9th LOSS
ALL STAR BREAK
Trade ...hopeful for improvement by Kearns and Lopez...hasn't happened yet
July 14th LOSS
July 15th LOSS

Until yesterday, (when God made His usual Sunday bet on the Nationals), our team has lost EVERY game since our July 6 win.  What happened?  That was a day game, and The Chief DELETED THE GAME THREAD FROM THAT COME-FROM-BEHIND WIN!  He JINXED the team by doing that!!!!! It's the only logical explanation.

Vidro has a slight hamstring strain.  Wanna see Soriano smile?  Let him play 2nd base, so he can make Lopez look good.

Armas needs a quick inning here.  His pitch count is starting to get a little high.

My headache is so bad that it took me this long to realize that it was Nolasco that got that hit with the bases juiced! That's pathetic.

So what's the official word? Were those runs earned or unearned?

umm, no Nats2playoffs that was me that deleted the thread...and no that's not the reason for a team that stinks.  And it CERTAINLY is not a "logical explanation".

Earned runs as far as I can determine. It depends on whether it was Willingham that was thrown out at the plate. If it was him then yes they are earned.

Tony Armas is so afraid of the strike zone it's unbelievable. I don't know how you can go so far without trusting your own stuff.

see by you saying that you have 'UNJINXED" the team Nat2playoffs!  Lopez just made his second good defensive play!  It's the only logical explanation!   :P

OK, That's probably it for Armas?  I thought he pitched well, he had a good fastball.  It's a shame what Lopez did to him.

Nolasco's pitch count is 62 in five innings.  Armas' is 93.
