Clippard is up for the save.  This is his third inning, isn't it?

Interesting twist. I was too lazy tonight to even be bothered to look. Thanks.
They can add someone like Morse to the 40 man. I think once they DFA him, he's removed from the 40 man.

The only guys eligible off the 40 man are Desmond and Maxwell. I'd like to see Desmond, but they are probably waiting until September
Kensing would be released and booted off the 40 man creating a spot for Morse.

Maxwell and Desmond must continue to play every day for Syracuse.

Morse is the perfect utility guy.

Supposing they DFA Kensing and then demote a starting pitcher on, say, Tuesday...  nah, that would be foolish.

He's really better than Harris? We have enough problems giving Willie ABs

He's a better hitter and can play more positions.

regardless of who we call up they aren't going to get a lot of ABs. just look at Padilla. he never plays. same with Willie.

We'd be better off keeping 8 relievers but just getting rid of Kensing and replacing him with Josh Wilkie.

Yes. Once DFA'd he's immediately removed from the 40 man roster. The club has 7 days to put the player on waivers, or ten to trade or release him.

I'd prefer that option much more. Hitting is not our problem, we need to see if we have any potential diamonds in the rough pitching wise.

good, stress-free win. big game from the offense and J.D. Martin.

have to take 3 of 4 with Ace on the mound tomorrow.

Kensing did agree to go to Syracuse, the first time he was DFA'd, unlike the rest of those bums we released.  So for that, I'd feel kinda bad for DFA'ing him again...

...but he does SUCK!

Hope it's like that again next week.   Being a Steeler fan has made being a Nats fan much easier.
