Didn't Guzman hit in the nine spot in 2005 when he couldn't hit anything to save his life?
Off topic: how many seats is that fat mess in the red shirt taking up.Also, Dunn got lucky there.
Defensively? I don't think Guzman has much to offer. Gonzalez and Hernandez up the middle is a great DP combo and both have unreal range. Guzman is as slow as freak.Guzman hits for better average but the goal of a leadoff hitter is to get on base and make things happen. He will get more AB's than anyone else so OBP is the best measure. Right now and trending forward, Gonzalez is the better man for the job. Guzman 's 31, doesn't have nearly the speed he once had and is declining.I'm not saying that Gonzalez is great shakes, but right now, he's playing better than Guzman.
By the way hammonds, I'm wearing my personalized #17 Nats home jersey for luck tonight.
that was a strike and he should have swung but good walk Adam.
Spidernat, your correct, I did not think that post thru properly, he hit low in the order during that awful slump, but not poor enough to have a pitcher hit in front of him. I award myself one stupid point.
Is there a shooting urself in the head smiley?
