And the betting against the Natinals holding a lead finally starts paying off.

Natinals     5
Landsharks 7

The renaming of the stadium apparently confused Drew Barrymore, 'cause that ain't a Marlin on her head.

How can Justin Long actually be in better shape than I am?

That disheartens me.

NatsAddict, why must your team always beat us like this in such disheartening fashion?

Has there ever been domination like this in recent MLB history? After this loss we will be 3-22 over our last 25 games against the Fish. That has to historical.

rebuild off a rebuilding year? Thats never a good sign

Actually, it would be a rebuild off a rebuild off a rebuilding year.  Let's not forget the good old days of a 59 win season from a year ago.

When will we top that 59 win total?

Because Fredi is only the 2nd dumbest manager in the world.

Call this one already. Let's get swept tomorrow and get the hell out of south Florida. I've never seen anything in baseball like the way the Nats are dominated by the Marlins.

What's the excuse for Bonifacio raping us now that St. Claire is gone?

He now has an 8-game hitting streak.

Hanley has a 9-game RBI streak.

Uggla has a 3-game not cleating himself streak

Really don't understand the hate for Uggla.  I would take him at 2nd base over all our collection of bums.  Great power.  We would be deadly with him in the lineup.

Hope you aren't looking for a future as a scout or GM.  If knocking in one of every 35 runners pleases you, take him.  Uggla is about as far from deadly as you can get.  Take him and his nearly 400 men LOB he'll rack up by the end of the year.  He advances runners at between 1/4 and 1/3 the NL average for all players, including pitchers, and only 1 out of every 15 of the few runners advanced is advanced more than 1 base (his primary means of advancing runners is on BB and GIDP, not hits).  And he gets worse as the season progresses, with the 2nd half only about half as productive as the first.  Where is really shows is in the doubles:  49 in 2007, 37 in 2008, and on pace for 25 this year - a 50% reduction in 2 years.

Also, he is one of (and by a couple measurements, the absolute) worst fielding 2B in the game.

Ok I'm paying attention again. At least the rain delay stopped the Human Rain Delay.

Really strange weather down here this year.  Other than named storms, we get maybe one or two all-day rains a year, with the rest being short afternoon thunderstorms that last 10 minutes and leave no sign of their existence 5 minutes after they are over.  Since mid-May, almost every day has been rainy all day.

This is the 10th in-game delay (excludes late starts) in 42 home games.  Believe it or not, we have gone entire seasons without in-game delays.
