Byrd is a monster in centerfield. His defense makes up for his offense. I really hope he's here for a while

I have a question: Tomorrow is the last day of the month, but when MLB sold the team to the Lerner group, they and Kasten, along with everyone else, all said that the Lerner group would be in place and running the team by the end of June, right?

So my question is:  Were they talking about June 2006?
