Ramon Ortiz, RHP (5-5, 5.27)Ortiz was lucky to get a no-decision in his last outing against New York. The right-hander was responsible for five runs in the fifth inning alone, before leaving with only one out. The outing was his shortest of the year and was a season-high for runs allowed for Ortiz.
VS.A.J. Burnett, RHP (0-1, 5.06)Burnett had a successful outing in his first start in two months, but picked up a no-decision. After being activated from the 60-day disabled list on Thursday, the right-hander fanned seven and allowed two runs on five hits in six innings against Atlanta. Burnett said he had no lingering issues from the right elbow woes that led to two trips to the disabled list this season. In 13 career starts against Washington, Burnett is 6-3 with a 3.80 ERA. He went 1-0 with a 2.03 ERA versus the Nationals last season.
