Are you sure about that?

Yeah. The starter's team could be up 2-1 when he leaves the game, and if the final score ended up being 15-14, he'd still get the win as long as his team never relinquished the lead.

I'm positive. As long as the game never reaches a tie the starting pitcher gets credited with the win.

sportsfan nailed it (kinda) - joking because so many people said it

dude it's the nationals.  of course he'd get his #300 against the nats.
just like Moyer got his 250th win on Sunday and Bonds got his record breaker a few years ago

Why the freak don't they DFA Hanrahan?  He took a potentially winnable game & eliminated pretty much any chance.

come on. the #10 pick is big and we get the first pick in every round. this draft is franchise-changing.

all part of the plan.  can't wait to see the potential changes 6 years from now.  and that's if any of the prospects actually pan out (or we can sign them).

And it's being run by the "acting" GM, a guy who will probably be fired at the end of the year.

Just some food for thought.  :hang:

:? Same here.  Shame, as this was a fantastic game for the better part of 8 innings.

The umps don't respect this sorry team.

I am firmly convinced that the thinking in/around baseball is that you can make mistakes with the Nationals because it's no big deal if they lose.  It won't really matter if you're wrong.

And that's how that ball 4 to Dunn is going to be put into the context of this game.

that's a good point. Would Rizzo just accept being the scouting director or if he isn't hired GM will he resign?

The Nationals have been immortalized once again. I'm sure someone will hit their 3000th hit against us in the future.

Burn his arm out in this doubleheader and then cut his ass.

Kearns swinging like hell again instead of just trying to put the ball into play.

Please play Harris in the next game.

At what point does a man like Hanrahan say to himself, "I'm poop and all I'm doing is stealing money" and quit?

Belliard did the same. DFA this team.

I wholeheartedly believe that.  The calls against the Nats have gotten progressively worse over the last few years.

I have never seen a team get jobbed so much.

I really doubt they'll fire him before he gets an offseason to make some moves.
